On the Record · Deal Tape & Press
Proof that survives checking.
No borrowed praise, no invented quotes, no “as featured in” logos we can’t verify, ever. Everything on this page is real, sourced, and labeled: third-party where it exists, self-reported where the firm’s own site is the source.
Yes, that name. No, not the Goodfellas guy. I’m the living one.

Host Gresham Harkless Jr. put Billy’s origin on tape for the I AM CEO Podcast, eight years welding Northern Canada pipe, the 2015 crash with a daughter on the way, and the rebuild into M&A. Episode IAM1103, told in Billy’s own voice, on somebody else’s platform.
The method, in print.
Unlimited Sellers Guide: For Finding Businesses to Buy at Will. Billy’s sourcing playbook, published on Amazon Kindle under his own name. The framework the deal flow runs on, written down where anyone can check it.
$275K → $24M, with structures.
Eleven transactions documented on the firm’s public tape. SBA preapprovals, seller financing, a three-year earn-out, a PE syndicate, inside a stated record of 16+ closed deals across a $1M–$48M range.
$8.4M and $12M, closed and documented.
The firm publishes phase-by-phase walkthroughs of individual deals: an $8.4M HVAC roll-up funded in 90 days at 4.4× adjusted EBITDA (Aug 2024), and a $12M precision machining deal taken past the SBA ceiling on alt-capital and an earn-out (Feb 2025). Plus a $3.1M-revenue MSP under LOI, and a contested agency deal won buy-side. Enterprise value, EBITDA, multiple paid and capital stack on each — the numbers are below ↓.
A method with a name on it.
Buying Beast, the branded deal-sourcing system Billy co-created with Andrew Baldwin, launched out of Alberta in 2023 via a self-published release. Built to find businesses to buy at will, before they ever reach a marketplace, the system the book documents.
The house rule: if it can’t be checked, it doesn’t go on this page. Earlier claims of features in national outlets could not be independently verified, so they’re not here. Named seller testimonials join this section only after the people behind them sign off.

The walkthroughs
Four deals, opened up.
The tape above is amounts. This is the arithmetic. Prime Acquisitions Group publishes phase-by-phase walkthroughs of individual transactions — enterprise value, adjusted EBITDA, the multiple actually paid, and the full capital stack. Self-reported, on the firm’s own site, and every card links to the walkthrough it came from so you can check it.

Beat eight other buyers, saved $20K at close
Nine buyers chased the same marketing agency. Ours won without paying the highest number.

- LOI to wireAbout 90 days
Two of these four closed. The machining and HVAC deals funded. The MSP is under LOI with diligence in flight — it is on this page because the diligence numbers are published, not because it is done, and its $3.1M is trailing revenue, not a purchase price. The agency deal was buy-side advisory, so no enterprise value is published. Same house rule as everything else here: if it can’t be checked, it doesn’t go on this page.

“Meet Billy Batt, the lead generation specialist helping entrepreneurs connect with their target audience”
Six years before Prime Acquisitions Group, a trade-magazine profile of the lead-generation business that came after the oilfield. It names Chrome Leads and the contractor and real-estate clients it served, which is the part of the record that matters here: the operating years between the pipe rack and the deal table are documented, not asserted.
Listed for completeness. This is a contributor-network outlet, not major press, and it is labelled that way on purpose.

Put Billy on your record.
Writing about M&A, business flipping, or the strange economics of owning a famous dead man’s name? Billy talks in receipts, not platitudes. He can speak first-hand to:
Buying and flipping businesses, what actually sells, at what structures, and what kills deals in diligence. AI-driven deal sourcing, finding willing sellers before the marketplaces do. The blue-collar pivot, from 100-man oilfield crews to LOIs. And the name collision itself, what it takes to out-rank a Scorsese character for your own name.
