Is Billy Batt the guy from Goodfellas?
No. The character in Goodfellas is Billy Batts, played from the life of William Bentvena, a Gambino associate who was killed in 1970. Billy Batt is a living Canadian dealmaker who buys and sells digital businesses. Same sound, different spelling, different century. The mobster has held the search results for over fifty years, which is the reason this page exists.
Who is Billy Batt?
Billy Batt is Managing Partner of Prime Acquisitions Group, an AI-first mergers and acquisitions firm that buys, rebuilds and resells digital-first businesses. He spent eight years as a pipefitter and welder in Northern Canada’s oilfields, running crews of 100 to 150 men on gas plants and pipelines, before the 2015 oil crash pushed him into marketing and then into acquisitions. He is the author of Unlimited Sellers Guide and co-owner of Xcept AI.
Is Prime Acquisitions Group the company the SEC flagged?
No. A different company called “Prime Acquisitions Group, Inc.”, based in Chicago and operating prime-agi.com, has been on the SEC’s PAUSE list since July 2019 for falsely claiming United States registration. It has no connection to Billy Batt or to his firm. The two share a name and nothing else.
What kinds of businesses does Billy Batt buy?
Digital-first businesses only: SaaS, e-commerce, agencies, apps and the platforms behind them. The firm sources off-market, structures to close with SBA preapprovals, seller financing, earn-outs or private equity syndicates, rebuilds operations, then takes the asset back to market.
